Contrast Ratios with Edward Bartholomew and John Arthur Wilson is a podcast that explores the impact lighting has on society, and the impacts society has on lighting. Lighting doesn’t exist in a bubble – and just like people, it is always changing. 

As the practical applications for lighting proliferate (e.g. UV, horticultural, scientific, medical, etc.) we are constantly learning new things about lighting and our connection with it. Conversations about lighting are no longer confined to two-dimensional supply chain endeavors.

Where society goes – lighting goes. Where lighting goes – understanding grows.

About the hosts:

Edward Bartholomew and John Arthur Wilson are lighting industry influencers who share a curiosity for lighting and its myriad connections with society. Our goal for this podcast is to make the topic of lighting more accessible to a wider audience.

More specifically, we want to expand the conversation, and help position the lighting industry so that it attracts the next generation of society’s leaders. We plan do this by translating between the technical and the practical and by connecting the most important developments in the lighting world with other fields of study.
